William presented a talk at the Humanities in the European Research Area (HERA) International Conference in Croatia in 2019. This was developed for inclusion in the HERA publication in 2021 entitled ‘A place of safety in crisis: The spatial examination of mental health crisis care facility in the UK’. The chapter explores access to acute care for mental health patients in the UK context.
